The Singapore Christmas Story
is based on the classic Christmas story "The Night Before Christmas", given a dash of "Singaporeaness". Drawing inspiration from the everyday life of typical Singaporeans, this Christmas story takes one through how it would be like if
Santa actually visited Singapore
to deliver presents.
Oh yes, Santa happens to be Singaporean too.
With Singapore being a multi-racial country,
the idea was for Santa Claus to be able to switch
between the four major races in Singapore
(Chinese, Malay, Indian, Caucasian),
and for the story to still make sense.
They've even been given a slight name change,
just so that it reflects their race and heritage.
